  The birdhouses flew out the door at Erie DAWN’s Third Annual Cinco de Mayo event held on Thursday May 5th at the Erie Yacht Club.  The Birdhouse exemplifies the mission of Erie DAWN, a transitional housing organization for women and children, by representing the idea that Erie DAWN provides a safe place to come, nest, grow and be nurtured, while being prepared to” fly away” when they are ready .

The blue ribbon is a positive symbol of the need to do one’s best when it comes to children and families. Since 1989, thousands of people nationwide wear the blue ribbon during April.
